Global Aid Network

Mission Statement

Global Aid Network is a multi-national network of ministries serving to demonstrate the love of God, through word and deed, to hurting and needy people around the world through orphan care, relief, and development projects.

As the humanitarian aid arm of Campus Crusade for Christ International, the ministry of Global Aid Network spans the globe helping to meet physical needs in areas of poverty and despair and providing hope through evangelistic outreach.

Global Aid Network partners with Campus Crusade for Christ ministries, local churches, missionaries, and other agencies to help distribute compassionate aid to impoverished countries around the world.

Overview of Ministry Activity

Global Aid Network was founded in 1990 as Operation Carelift by Josh McDowell; it is a division of Campus Crusade for Christ.  Since then we have taken over 10,000 volunteers on short-term mission trips around the world and provided over $125 million in aid to those in need.

We desire to combine our efforts with others who seek to serve the body of Christ and to share the Truth of Jesus Christ. Our resources of volunteers, Christian literature, and humanitarian aid allow us to minister in the following ways:

Short-term mission trips: Each year hundreds of volunteers join Global Aid Network\'s short-term mission teams.  Typically, teams of 10-30 volunteers are deployed to countreas around the world.  The outreach methods vary but the common thread is caring for hurting and needy people through compassionate aid while sharing the love of Christ.

Medical and vision teams:   Volunteer doctors and technicians provide medical care clinics to provide health care to those in need in various parts of the world.  In some areas, volunteers also conduct vision testing clinics and distribute eye glasses to needy children and adults.

Humanitarian Aid:  Containers of clothes, food and medical items are shipped to various countries; providing life sustaining aid as well as spiritual hope to those in need.

Emergency Disaster Response and Relief:  Resources are mobilized when disaster strikes.  Emergency food, water filtration systems, and medical supplies are immediately sent to disaster areas to be distributed by local believers and volunteers.

Plans and Goals

Global Aid Network\'s slogan is "Mobilizing resources with compassion."   We are currently overseeing projects in more than 60 countries including the U.S.

In addition, each year we will continue to take short-term mission teams to various countries throughout the world.

Some of these teams work with alongside national churches and ministries to share the Gospel and deliver aid to the poor and needy.  Other teams focus on medical needs and vision clinics, to the underpriviledged.
