Children's Hunger Fund

Mission Statement

Mission: Serving Children in need... across America and around the world.

Purpose: Children\'s Hunger Fund seeks to alleviate the suffering of children by equipping local churhes to communicate the gospel through effective compassion ministry.

Overview of Ministry Activity

Children\'s Hunger Fund is based in Southern California, and was established in December 1991, for the two-fold purpose of improving the quality of life of children in need around the world; and equipping and aiding the work of the local church. We seek out relationships with quality Christian ministries and churches that share our vision for reaching children in need with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and equipping them for a life with Him. The service we provide to the local church or ministries includes the provision of humanitarian aid, which we acquire from US corporations. These products include food, clothing, blankets, hygiene items, medical supplies, and toys.

We have partnered with numerous Christian ministries aiding children at risk.  There is an application process for ministries/churches new to our organization to complete prior to receiving product.

We also have U.S. Regional Distribution Centers in Chicago, IL and San Antonio, TX

Plans and Goals

Our current focus is the establishment of "Mercy Networks."  A Children’s Hunger Fund Mercy Network is an indigenously led grouping of local churches that seek to promote the Gospel in their respective communities through compassionate (mercy) ministry.  We currently have () functioning networks in Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda, Peru, and Guatemala.  We are in the process of launching others in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Ecuador, Thailand, and India.

We also seek to develp Strategic Partnerships with organizations that focus their efforts on combating the many issues faced by children living in poverty. We are looking to partner together with organizations doing work in areas of fighting injustice, preventing human trafficking, providing clean water, supplying medical equipment, promoting agricultural development, funding economic development initiatives, orphan care, and providing education.
