Orphan Sunday 2017

  All day

From its humble beginnings in a small church in Zambia in 2002, God is using Orphan Sunday to change hearts around the world.  Believers are embracing Orphan Sunday as a way to engage the church in caring for the orphan, and from this expression of prayer, nations are being changed and movements are being born.

Here are some highlights of the 2016 Orphan Sunday:

Recently, Orphan Sunday was featured at the Ghana Without Orphans regional meeting, and volunteers were given manuals and instruction on implementing this day across Ghana for the sake of children in finding families.

And in Thailand, the newly formed Thailand Without Orphans team distributed Orphan Sunday materials to 500 church leaders from across the nation.

Colombia Without Orphans kicked off Orphan Sunday in 2016, and local churches and agencies were engaged in many ways.

Philippines Without Orphans was also actively promoting Orphan Sunday.

Orphan Sunday is an initiative of the Christian Alliance for Orphans (CAFO, www.cafo.org) and is implemented world-wide by a team of volunteer coordinators.

All materials are provided free of charge online

Currently, volunteer Coordinators are being sought for these nations:

  • Mongolia
  • Argentina
  • Chile
  • France
  • Spain
  • Indonesia
  • Vietnam
  • Cambodia

If you would like to volunteer to be an Orphan Sunday coordinator for any of these nations, or in your own nation, please contact Jodi Jackson Tucker, International Director of Orphan Sunday at tucker@cafo.org
